Skill: Kettlebell Snatch


WOD

AMRAP in 20 minutes:
10 KB Snatch (m:1.5 f: 1 pood)
20 Squats
30 Double Unders

Mt. Whitney, 14,496ft.  My brother and I decided to do a Handstand at the top to say two things: 1) CrossFit Rancho Cucamonga "has arrived" and 2) "our boots went higher than yours".  We did over 40 miles of hiking with 50+ pounds on our back.  We had the priviledge to see lakes and wilderness that most won't.  I owe a lot of this to CrossFit, for keeping me young and active and allowing me to conquer my goals.  I would also like to thank my brother Jeff for setting up such a wonderful trip.  If anyone is interested in knowing the route we took, I'm having my gps downloaded onto Google Maps, to show the route.  Just a word of caution: this route is off the beaten path and has some technical challenges involved.

Hey, did anyone tell Michelle congrats, for getting her first pullup yesterday? She did it so fast, that she had to ask me if she actually did itsmilies/grin.gif What a goof ball!smilies/wink.gif

Guys!!!! The girls are seriously stepping it up in here, where are my boys at? We need some PRs so these girls don't think they are going to take over the world.smilies/angry.gif

I saw Michelle's pullup and her reaction was priceless!!! And Ami got her first 4 kipping pullups in a row the day before!!! All these girls are getting off the band and really steppin it up!!! Also Marcel got his 30 pullups and his first muscle up!!! Great job you guys!!

Hey guys,

After much review of the gym schedule, we've come up with what we think will workout best for the group. We wanted to make the schedule EASY to remember and be able to accommodate the amount of people per class. So, please take a look at the schedule on the upper right hand side of the web page under "gym hours". This schedule will be implemented on August 1st.

Also, pay attention to the kids class changes. We will be offering a kids class on Saturday directly after the Team WOD. The fee will be a $10 drop in for each kid. When the need for more classes arises, we will add more kid classes.

Oh, and if you weren't in here this morning, you missed out. We had 25 members working out, and it was electrifying. smilies/grin.gif
